Re: Here's what I came up with today.

Thanks for the comments , boar tusk huh, cool, wonder when the wild pigs last roamed these parts. It is the biggest one I've found. Off to do some research...

Great pictures of your finds. I love those dalton points. You had a really good day. I must work to much :icon_scratch: Be curious on the tooth/tusk. I bet its been awhile since you had pigs roaming. Cool.

GooD Spot, Great Finds
All most looked like a red pottery sheard next to the tusk.

Appreciate it, I'm interested in finding out some info on this tusk as well. Nice 10 pointer in the repros thread, good looking deer.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure it was an old piece of brick, probably should have picked it up to make sure though. Have a good one.

Re: Here's what I came up with today.

pigs arent native to north america ,but they are running wild in most states now,i've seen them in south east ohio deer hunting ,my brother and his boys are hunting them in texas this week, your tusk could be a couple hundred yrs old or it could be a few years,

Thanks for the info. I thought a boar tusk would be round all the way around not squared off on the underside. You're 100% correct though and after looking at some pictures it's definitively what it is. I'm thinking these are pretty old because wild pigs haven't been in this area for many years. I'm gonna continue the research and try to find a possible timeframe. Here are the three I've found this year all within 20 yards of each other. Thanks again.

Very nice finds thirty7. Boar tusks are self sharpening, each time they open and close their mouths.
Hence a flat side. Those three you have are awesome!
