I've been detecting for about a month now and I found this ring today and was just wondering if any one new what those letters meant on the inside.-any help would be great thanks
Gold filled. The U with an arrow through it is the makers mark. They produce mainly gold filled rings.
The company is called UNCAS, if you want to look it up.
looks like 10K gold to me but someone will know what those letters mean with a clearer pic....congrats on the find your ahead of me already..and since i have the opportunity to post this before the other guy update your info such as location and equipment... haha

GF usually stands for gold filled which is a little heavier than gold plated. The ring appears as though some of the gold is already worn down to the base metal which may be copper.
