Hit a beach where the water is drawn down 4 ft. on lake to repair a damn.

Today I hit a lake where the water level was drawn down 4 feet so the DNR could repair damn. I took my GTI 1500 since I wasn't going in the water and just did the dry freshwater sand. This beach is hunted fairly heavy but less than I though by the finds I made. Oh, I found no gold, but lots of pull tabs and foil. So they either didn't hunt is as much as I thought or threw the junk back in the water. I don't want to believe some idiot would throw the junk back for him to find again. Only found two clad quarters, dime, and four pennies plus a toe ring. Ran into a newbie and his family searching with a Fisher 1280 they bought at a garage sale for $20.00. The luck of some people.

Gas up to the park and back, about $6.00, time spent playing Indiana Jones, Priceless........

I hit the beach Saturday, had visions of all those spring break treasures dancing in my head. Got there it started pouring rain. On top of that they have already graded the beach, was really bummed. Inbetween rain storms I found 2 dimes, a peso, and a used needle laying right out where anyone would step on it. My brother got a total of 43 cents. I guess better luck next time.

get yourself a machine what doesn't mind takin a dip. You don't worry 'bout a graded beach anymore when ya can just ease into the surf with your detector an a scoop.
