hit big at the test hole on the river

That Hartwig Bitters would have been a nice one Jim, is the Schwarz jug whole? Is it another 1/2 gallon?
only found that 1 piece of the schwarz
 

There are many variants of Schwarz jugs and bottles, he started in 1868 and his liquor store was the largest in NJ at the turn of the century, the jugs come in many different variants and sizes....

still finding alot of broken bur did find a couple of keepers..a phfannebecker amber blob top,a roisdorfer mineral water bottle and the partial old german bisque doll bust thanks for looking

Thanks Jim, is this Pfannebecker around 8-1/2" tall? If you plan on selling on Ebay I'd be interested, it would make the third different variant in this size for me....

still at the river but a new spot

hit a mini jackpot of bottles today found a wm t allen blob,tiffany & allen hutch,3 greenish color rice hutches,2 corn flower bluish rice hutches,a pfannebecker hutch,a feigenspan & co amber blob,some broken rice stonewares,what looks like the lens to an old camera,a 3 sided excelsior sewing machine oil new bedford mass bottle,an unmarked seltzer bottle and a few other things thanks for looking

short dig today my back wasnt feeling it...lol found a nice victoria brunnen mineral jug,another t&a hutch,a swinnley citrate,chas gulden mustard,chesebrough mfg co vaseline another plate and cup,some broken stuff,i think the mechanical is whats left of an old music box thanks for looking

I assume this is from the Passaic river? Good job...what do you look for as far as picking the site or are these just random test holes?

So much history with Paterson...Locomotive Manufacturers, Lambert's castle...

i found a stoneware on the bank of the river last year when it was way down and just started digging the rest is history
