Intresting video taken by a diver on the wreck site.
Check minute 13:59, the fishing net. The narrator does not mention it.
Also interesting all of the bronze cannon with lifting straps on it.
 
Somebody has been sneaking around down there with there ROV !!☠️☠️ cannon pirates !!

My guess is that the cannons were relocated by Odyssey under their recovery contract with the Maritime Heritage Foundation. The UK government approved the recovery project in 2014, after much debate. Exactly when and why the recovery effort ended I haven’t been able to find out. The most recent article I could find on the web is:


The recovery plan is described here, but there’s nothing about why it didn’t happen:

 
I think it was the descendant of captain An in bred lord complained it was violation of war grave. Put up petition in the house of lords that odyssey was tampering with a war grave the UK was soignee too.
