[The Beep Goes On]

Hope everyone had a great 4th! I hunted the local parks and fields again and hit the beach at Galveston for a few hours today. The stuff on the right is dry land and the stuff on the left is from the beach. I met GulfHunter out in the waves...real nice guy. Anyway, found a big silver ring in the same field I found the two others from the other day. On Saturday I got a big surprise when hunting another modern field ('87) and out pops my first Merc...a 1944D...yay, a silver coin at last! Otherwise, a lot of miscellaneous targets...a couple of ChuckeCheese tokens, a silver plated horseshoe pendant, an '82 10 peso, a couple of other rings, a christmas tree pin, a silver plated earring, a pair of sunglasses, a silver plated tag that says "Love Melissa" on it, and a peace sign pin that says "Hippie Hounds V 2003, Peace, Love, Flyball". $23.67 in clad.

The silver ring says "CTR" on it. Gabbit found one that's very similar (http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,40552.0.html). Does anyone know what CTR stands for?

Thanks allsmith...I've found a few coins like that. Must have gotten a good whack from a lawn-mower.

Looks like you were busy. 8) Congrats on all the neat stuff! Looks like you also found a soccer Heads/Tails coin. Neat. BTW, prices vary on the CTR rings depending on what they're made of . HH!

Thanks stoney. I forgot to mention the Referee coin...I thought it was pretty neat too...I had no idea what it was, except that it was real big, when I saw it in the hole. From your links it looks like the ring probably cost around $20 when new.
