Homestead "Marker" Tree

I went detecting this morning and went off into thick brush seeking a possible new homestead, well I did find the site and just next to the area where I got my finds this morning was this unusual Oak Tree, so I will use that as my "marker" tree for hopefully rediscovering this isolated site again tomorrow.

Yeah, That would be a great marker. Definitely an eary thing for you to look for and no one else would ever know what

I read somewhere that in the old days some ppl used to bend trees over to mark where their treasure was hidden.

That is way too cool
