hookah ??

I want to buy a hookah system for shallow water detecting.I dont think I will be going deeper then 6 to 8 ft max .I want a batttery powerd one.Have any of you used one and what ones would you recommend? I have been scuba diving in mexico a few times and have had a diving course before.thanks for any info.

I have used a hookah system that is gas powered for my dredge that I had . There was to many variables involved to limit myself just to snorkel I'm guessing used it 15=29 years and loved it ! For your application , the snorkel is just fine and simple ! no belt to tighten ,no noise , no breathing exhaust fumes when the wind shifts ,and on and on ! Enjoy your sport and have some safe fun this Summer !

I own a NEMO battery operated one - bought like 2 yrs ago - still new in the box
i ran into serious health issues after it arrived - hoping to try this summer

i do not when snorkeling
a must when using hookah or snuba (and scuba)
make sure if you make or buy a weight belt it has a quick release

Thanks russan I think Im going to start with a snorkel and mask and do like casper does for now .Ive researched hookah systems and with all the good and bad reviews out there cant decide on witch one.I know were there was a couple swimming platforms here in the bay that were beach resorts steam ships use to bring people to them.Most were used between late 1800's thru the mid 1900's.there is also a lot of steam ship wharfs scattered through out the rivers.
