I was stationed at Kadena from 86-89. Hands down one of my best assignments.

I did two TDYs to Kadena, each little over 9 months long, total 18 months at kadena AFB between 1968 and 1971. This was before the island was given back to Japan. It was totally different then, lets just say Koza which was just outside Gate 2 and is now called Okinawa City and the night life was wild and wide open to say the least. They closed the doors at midnight and the bars opened up secret doors hidden in ally ways, under barrels, down ladders and in tunnels, from out side the bar looked closed but was far from being closed on the inside.

I got to know some Seabees at Kadena too. I worked alongside COMFLEACT at Kadena and lived just outside Camp Shields.

They had to push me out the door at 30, all is good because if I didn't pull chocks I would have had to hire food tasters as I was stacking up the the promotion ranks in my MOS

Each person needs to do what ever they will feel will get them through this stinking virus. What works for one may not work for another. I think we are about to drop the mask mandate as many have quit wearing them already. You do see the occasional lone driver wearing a mask. Now you have to admit that is a good reason to chuckle. But to each their own on this one just do not try to shove any ridiculous rules my way.

Ok Thursday me and my wife got our second set of shots. (1 each) My ARM IS A BIT SORE . My wife is very sick. This morning she can not get up very well. Extremely dizzy, Severe head ache Terrible chills. If she does not start getting better i am taking her top the hospital EVEN if she says NO !!! I will keep you all updated !!!

Hope she's feeling better. Any updates? I've read that usually the flu like symptoms last about 24 hrs and usually come after the second shot.

CDC is now saying that only 6 percent of reported deaths were actually covid deaths.
They were also counting it a covid death of you had tested positive within 60 days.

So, about 35,000 were covid deaths? I read that CDC report months ago but I don’t have the link.

It's on their website. 94 percent had 3 or 4 other comorbidities which was the cause of death.
We had a local guy that was shot by the cops, reported as covid haha. Good times.

Funny how everyone wants to run out & get a vaccine and the media is pushing them like crack dealers. Simultaneously the gov't is allowing dare I say enabling & encouraging illegals to enter our sovereign country untested, unvaccinated, and in the case of minors unaccompanied. All the while floating a vaccine passport on us the free citizens of our country so we can travel and do buisness. This reeks of corruption and treason. The law and constitution is being seriously violated on both issues. If we as a people don't get serious about this country we will not have or deserve one. I forget who said the only thing needed for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing. I hope this is not viewed as political as I have not mentioned anyone or any party involved. I do believe it is an issue of humanity.

A complete misrepresentation of the facts, those are your words, not the CDC's. What the CDC actually said was that of all the Covid deaths, only 6 percent of those had absolutely no underlying health conditions what so ever. This is a HUGE distinction between how you worded it. We knew this, the most healthy of us, saw little death from it. The rest who died after acquiring Covid-19 had other underlying health conditions (the majority of America does), and absent a Covid infection would have lived months , years or decades longer.

This falsehood and misrepresentation has been beat to death, yet it keeps getting pushed nearly a half year later, like a crack dealer as newman man would say. Please understand comorbidity and underlying health conditions and how deaths are reported. Most all of us have at least one underlying health condition, in fact, over 60 percent of america is now considered obese, an underlying condition. I have a genetic blood clot issue for which i take thinners, without covid, people like me will live to be a normal ripe old age, with covid, we may die due to blood clotting. Covid is particularly adept at exacerbating any underlying condition.

It's like jumping out of a plane and your chute fails to deploy. So was it the chute not deploying that killed you or was it the pavement that killed you? Comorbidity, you wouldn't have one without the other. If ones Chute deploys (meaning you don't get covid), you don't die from the pavement (the underlying condition)!!

No offense, but somebody who is 99 is a ticking time bomb no matter their mind or physical shape. I've no doubt the cause of death is not listed as covid 19 vaccine.

I would definitely NOT get the vaccine if I were 80 and over. What's the point? A person is already at the end of their lifespan anyway!

Not true, I have family who lived well past 80, there are over 12 million Americans over 80 right now.

Seems like the worst of it lasts around 48 hours with rapid improvement after that. Getting my second tomorrow so we will see.

I'm glad you prefaced your opinion with "I" and aren't handing out medical advice as your opinion is downright dangerous to those over 80! And "whats the point"? I fear it's just a rhetorical question on your part as very likely facts won't get in the way of your opinion, but just by the slim chance you really are open to learning, not just promote a narrative, so deadly is Covid to those over 80, nearly 1 in 10 who become infected with Covid will die from it! Thats 100,000 deaths for every million 80+ year olds infected.

To put it in perspective those over 80 have a nearly 10 percent death rate from it, killing them over a 1000 times the rate of 20-49 year olds who have a .0092 death rate.

My side effects from 2nd shot only lasted about 14-16 hours, chills, fever of 100.5, no energy, small headache, got shot Friday, side effects came Saturday about noon, a cold or the flu felt a lot worse, went to bed at 1am still had symptoms, woke up at 7 am and it was all gone, felt like my old self...
