I was looking through a photo album and found a picture that I didn't know existed. It is a photo of me and my first detector and some finds. So I did the math and realized that I have been at this for 28 years now. I was three when this picture was taken.
I've still got my first detector, a BFO 'Scout', manufactured by Gold Mountain. Found tons of stuff with that machine. Got it for Christmas, 1978, I think...............I would have been a lot older than 3, though. I'm 40-something now..............
Well started 10 years ago, but took a long vacation.... the fiance wasn't into it at the time... Quit a lot of things, because he wasn't into it... Well now he's an ex and I'm rediscovering my love of MD'ing and TH'ing all over again, glad I have a "network" of fellow enthusiast to who share my passion.
Never got around to it until I retired. Good for the spirit but bad for the knees.
The end of the first season we went to a beach campground and I was initiated into beach hunting. That winter I got a Fisher CZ-20 and started using it this season. Still on the steep part of the learning curve though.
That last post is a joke, that's not me.
It's actually a baby picture of one of my clients in Utah who is afraid to post his own stuff because someone might learn his name or steal his magnet technology........
