Detector(s) used
Ace 400, AT Pro, equinox 800, Simplex,Vanquish 540
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
I currently have 3, Simplex, Vanquish [not functioning] and a AT Pro. Messed up and sold my Ace 400, am going to get another.
Here are the ones I have had that I can remember:

Ace 250, ML Quatro, F75, XP Deus, Macro Racer, Nox 800, Tesero [bandit I think] So I am pretty well diversified among brands, but except the 250, none of them grew on me so sold them. Simplex is serving me well, the AT I use exclusively in the water. Vanquish I sent in for repair, cycles through the startup then turns right off, still doing the same thing so it is pretty much good for nothing at this point. IF I could give one another chance it would be the Deus.
Oops forgot, had a Whites MX Sport, didn't last 5 minutes in the water so I got a refund.

Three. One was a Radio Shack/Archer kit I built in the 1970's. Still have and use the other two (see USER profile).

Haven't had a need for anything my 12 year old F-75 can't do. ;-)

A wise man once said: "Learn to live with what you've got and you won't need what you have not." And: "The key to happiness is wanting all what you have, not having all what you want."

White - XLT
Fisher - F2, F70
Tesoro - Cortez, Silver Umax, Vaquero, Tiger Shark

DOZENS! ╦╦C

Around 2 dozen starting with an Fisher M-Scope BFO in 65, TR's in the 70's, then VLF's from 85 on.

Used a Teknetics 9000 for a decade, heavy as a tank. had to hip mount it, took 14 AA's, but it was a SCREAMING coin and ring unit!

Not sure exact... memory doesn't serve as well anymore on these types of things... and i am sure i have forgotten some or at least one...

Here are a few off the top of my head...

Excals- (3 of them, 1 of which I still own)
Pulse 8x (both versions 1 & 2 - V2 I still own)
Minelab Sovereign XS-2-Pro(several sovs)
Garret MK-2(2)
Garrett GTI 2500(1)
Whites TM-808(1)
Whites IDX pro(2)
Whites Beach Hunter(1)
Whites surfmaster (1)
Whites coin masters (several different ones)
Ace 250 (was a gift)
Bounty hunter (several- old big box ones and newer versions)

Errr... and now time for Rum.

Somewhere around 20 I think.

For me the hunt for a machine is almost as much fun as hunting for silver/gold.

Current machines;

Tesoro Compadre
Nokta/Makro Multi Kruzer
Nokta/Makro Anfibio Multi
Garrett Apex
XP ORX
XP Deus
Vanquish 440 (my wife's machine)

No longer own:

Something that looked very much like a current Harbor Freight machine (Radio Shack?). Bought it (cheap) at a yard sale. Never used it. Gave it away.
Tesoro Bandido
Garrett GTI 2500
Minelab Etrac
Minelab CTX 3030
Fisher F4
Teknetic Eurotek Pro
Teknetic G2
Whites V3i
Whites MX5
Whites MX Sport
Whites BH 300

That's 19 and I think there may have been 1 or 2 more but can't recall them at the moment.

Let's see...
Bounty Hunter Quick Draw
Garrett GTAx 1250
Garrett GTi 1500
Garrett GTA 350
2 White's XLT Still have one
White's Quantum XT
White's Classic II
White's Classic ID +
White's MX7. Still have
Tesoro Cibola. Hated this machine.
Minelab xterra 305
Minelab Sovereign XS 2a
Minelab Equinox 600 still have

Currently have 12, owned total of maybe 16-17, when I first started I wanted to learn them, so I bought them used, would learn them then would upgrade, Owned a couple Tesoros, Troy, Fishers, Whites then Minelabs.

My excal backups have backups, currently have 4 excals, all with different coils, couple 3030s , Equinox 800, SDC2300, X-terra 705, Sovereign GT, Fisher with thumb freq knob for competition hunts, even have a Nokta Kruzer.

Now, that is a lot of detectors, and a lot of money to buy them.

Not many really. A bigger box 1980 vintage Whites, don't remember the model, maybe one of the 6000 incarnations. Then went on a group dig and had my rear handed to me in a hat, they were using something called a "Tesoro". So I got one, it may have been an Eldorado, that was about 1986 or thereafter. Then soon after a Tesoro Lobo which I had for years and was my only machine and go to machine. Had a AT pro for a very short time. We didn't get along so sold it. Then a White's TDI but we didn't get along either so I sold that one. Then nothing for awhile and got a Tesoro Cibola in 2011 (I think), and still have it. Then the XP Deus which is my workhorse. Got an Equinox in there but didn't like it either, so sold it. So now its me the Cibola and Deus.

Holy moly 14 AA's, don't think I have seen any gadget that took near that many, must have been a power hog

BH Tracker (1st as gift)
BH Platinum
( both chopped up for projects after retired)
Teknetics Omega 8000
Minelab X-terra 705 sold
Minelab Safari. Sold
Fisher f75. Sold
Minelab Equinox 800. Sold
Minelab Equinox 600
XP Orx

Teknetics t2 classic. Sold
Teknetics G2+
12in all. Currently the Orx and Deus lite ( I count as two)
Equinox 600 ( one w/ 11” coil one w/ 6” coil)
G2+. ( may sell - one too many at one time)

Getting Nokta Makro SMF when it comes out is a possibility
If it looks like a winner, or not if it’s overpriced.
Orx/ Deus and Equinox combo is killer and could serve all my
detecting needs for years. I’m far from expert on either.

Radio Shack self build unit from the 70s
Whites Coinmaster 5000
Garrett Ace 250
Whites DFX
Whites V3
E-Trac

The E-Trac is the only one I have ever been satisfied with, but I thought the Ace 250 was a fine machine for its price range.

White's Coinmaster 6000D (14 AA batteries!)
Ace 250
AT Pro
Nox 800

Had my best luck years ago in town with the 6000D. Bought the ACE to check for nails in logs for my sawmill. Now I'm in the country with AT and 800 and I can't find squat. Gary
