How often and how do you clean your metal detector, coil and digger tool?

Detectors get box and coil rinsed at the end of the weekend
Digging tools i dont bother with
Pinpointer get washed after every hunt
My leather Buzz Wilson sheath should probably get treated soon...

I have a girl come in once a week[/QUOTE]
is that for your gear or you?

I stick it in dirty !

Another old old thread.

i do wash off my Excal every time I use it, salt water or fresh.

My CTX? I keep that lower rod clean - the one that shoves up the brain. Don't need scratchy sounds when when trying to prep it for home. Too expensive to ignore. After all, isn't this a "lifetime" machine?

My water detectors take a cold shower at beach and then a hot shower with me when I get home every time they go detecting. My 3030 is both one of my water detectors and my land detector and it takes a hot bath ever time it is used, land or water. Soft brush is used to remove first.

Well some lemon furniture polish does a good job after I have used a damp cloth to get the dust off. I always use covers, they work. I have been know to dip a coil in the lake, but usually just use a damp cloth and air test afterwards. I hunt a lot but at least once a month cleaning. I can not believe how much crap can get and fit under a coil cover. My F75 coil cover used to be a bear to get off, till I dropped and cracked it. My AT Pro has a small ding on the faceplate sticker before I got a rain cover on it. Always thought it funny to have a rain cover on a waterproof machine.
