How to charge your phone with a 9-volt battery

Those little car chargers are about $10 in most instances. So, here's a better solution:

You can disassemble the charger and solder in place a 9v battery connector, throw it in your backpack and go.

Personally, I'm working on building a solar charger for my cell phone and tablet. Once you generate 5v DC, it would run through the same car charger.

Think I'm gonna raid the garden section at Wal-mart and grab up a few of those 97 cent solar lights and experiment from there.
