Huge day with gold!!

Hit the Fair grounds today and had a huge day, not even close to last years total but not going to complain. I ended the day with 228 coins totaling $18.33 and one 10 kt gold ring. Broken down the totals are:
50 quarters
37 Dimes
18 Nickels
121 Memorial cents
1 wheat
1 Canadian cent
17 tokens
1 Gold ring!

The place was just loaded with pennies, and just hit where the rides were and your pockets filled. All I know is I'm tired and getting some rest after this post!!

Hoosierfinds came and stayed for awhile along with my hunting partner and another detectorist. Not sure what anyone found, but just not as good as last year!

Dont know if you'v ever seen one of those arcaides in the convinence stores that are loaded with quarters and such, with a sliding bar that pushes them off a ledge when the get stacked up and you get the quarters, well those tokens will fall right into place

Its easy to get a 200+ coin day when you hit a spot after a fair and all the coins are laying on the ground by the rides. I only "dug" maybe 10 coins. This wasn't as good as I thought it was and 121 pennies helps the coin count!

I did a 200 coin day the only time I tried to this year. I prefer shorter hunts. But obviously this was one hell of a day!

Dig those nickels bookfisher. Doesn't mean you will get a ring, but definately increases your odds. Pull Tabs are a pain, but that where gold normally comes in unless its Larger gold rings!
