Yes it is part of a buckle :icon_thumleft:

Crazy design on it also..

That 1829 LC is the newest coin found at this site..Before that was a 1808 LC..
So it is helping me date this site better..

Those are some nice finds but...be careful in those storms. Almost 30 years ago I watched my brother's best friend get struck down and killed by a lightning bolt standing only about 30 feet from me. I know it doesn't happen everyday but it's not worth taking the chance. Don't want to bring your post down because those are some great finds. Good luck when you get back on that spot.

we got caught in a sudden rain yesterday too, kinda sucked running for cover, but that cold rain felt good after the blazing sun.

Riders on the storm...JK, Sweet finds! :headbang:

Nice detail on that largie :icon_thumright:

Felinepeachy · Jun 18, 2011

Nice finds :hello2:

but OMG, don't do that again!!!! I don't know but i would think that holding an electronic device made of metal is not a good idea during a lightning storm. :nono:

johnnyblaze · Jun 18, 2011

If you wanna find the good stuff, you gotta have some Stones :laughing7:

Wow.

So you said you wear your crucifix everyday now huh? :-X

I know I would.

I'd venture to guess that the 1829 penny was lost around that time...there isn't much wear showing...can't see if its pitted though...
