Hunted out site produced my first Barber Quarter!

wayfas4u · Dec 27, 2013

Well my good detecting buddy and I have hit a spot recently that has produced a good many wheat pennies and silver dimes to the point that we considered it picked over! I went back this morning just to get out and enjoy the outdoors and dug these guys up, also turned up my first Barber Quarter - a 1909 model! I guess now I know what others are talking about when they say they have found coins in a hunted out place :icon_thumright:

Hunted out site? Is there ever something that is truly hunted out so there is nothing left? I don't think so and your finds prove it. Nice going.

Congrats on your first Barber Q., nice finds. Now repeat after me, "No place is ever hunted out" (but you don't have to click your heels together, we're not in Oz.)

detectahead · Dec 28, 2013

Just makes one go there because they say it's hunted out. I love that challenge! Congrats on that, barbers r always nice to find!!
