We are still on the hunt for a productive new Roman Site. Today we returned to a field Dad & I tried a couple of years ago & only found 1 Roman Coin & some Pot Shards.
Therefore, we knew it was a confirmed site but I wanted to expand the search. This tack helped find me 3 Roman coins in 3 hours but that was about it other than a amazing Lead Weight!

I can't find this weight in my books or on the internet anywhere. (If you can let me know below?)
It has a seated Britannia & what looks like a verification mark. I'm seeking some advise from an expert.
(yesterdays hunt, sorry late posting)

During the US Civil War (1860's) it was not uncommon for a soldier to
take a lead bullet and carve it into figures, etc. Perhaps this was a Roman
soldier who was bored, and used the lead piece to create some type of
field art.

Congratulations Cru! Good to see you at it again and good hearing from you!
