Hunting in Bodie Island beaches

This Saturday we have rented a beach house on S Old Oregon inlet rd. At mile post 21.6 the last beach house on that Rd Its in the Bodie Island area my question is it ok to detect the beaches there I have read other posts about not hunting in protected beaches but none at this specific area also are signs posted that its a national or state park this house is located south of Jennettes pier and north or Oregon inlet. Thanks in advance for any reply's
