Hi Jim in Idaho, I was at Keesler about May 1968 and shipped out in December, originally an X1, trained at the I.G. Farben in Frankfurt to 202.....Joe

US Navy, 1955 to 1958. I was a kiddie cruiser, joined when 17 out at 21. I was in boot camp when Korean War ended, so was a cold war sailor, aboard the USS Merrick AKA 97, in the "Gator Navy," or Amphibs. I was a seaman coxswain, pronounced "coxn," and drove an LCM, (Landing Craft Mechanized, 56 feet long, 55 tons, twin Grey Marine Diesels, twin screws) delivering the Marines and their gear to the beach. My avatar is me standing by the 5 inch gun on the fantail of the ship.

Ok, maybe one more time... since that OTHER Terry is promoting hisself in pic, AGAIN.....
