✅ SOLVED I cant stop touching it.

[DigginDownUnder]

I can't stop touching it.

Found this guy at an 1800's site in Australia, all other finds there have been victorian.

I don't know what it is. It's not broken anywhere.
I love it, the detail, and patina look awesome.

I can't stop fiddling with it.

[BigWaveDave]

that is awesome... can you slide your finger through the back? could it be a crazy old ring? dunno

[Mr.T]

Deadly- looks like it was on a door somewhere, maybe... tried cleaning something similar recently with vinegar and salt, and wrecked it. Your piece is best left alone.

[DigginDownUnder]

Thanks
It's too tight for a mans ring, and way too big and heavy for a woman's or kids ring

It just fits on my little finger.

[diggummup]

Looks evil, are those horns I see in his head? Nice find. Bronze?

[DigginDownUnder]

Thanks Mr.T
Yeah I'm not going to clean him.

What do you guys think he resembles?
Victorian?
He's kind of an Asian beard going on.

They do look like horns in that picture but I think it's his waves hair, it's different on both sides which is cool.

I think it's bronze, looks to have some silver plating on it.

[BigWaveDave]

looks good on your finger though

Research it!

I'm trying, Just don't know where to start

Thought this was a good place to start.

[BigWaveDave]

look up ugly gargoyle rings!

[deepsecrets]

I believe that it is the silver plate spout from a glass claret/wine decanter - figure of Baccus - Victorian

[Back-of-the-boat]

Napkin ring?

I have to say that Bacchus spout on the claret looks pretty convincing as far as the figure id.

[Bigcypresshunter]

I like fondling my artifacts too. Ill go with deepsecrets on the spout.

Your the man! Thanks deepsecrets

Found the same spout only not silver plated.

[DigginDownUnder]

[cudamark]

Nice I.D. deepsecrets!

[Frankyg]

A candle holder? Or a decorative bit off the shaft of a walking stick?

[Greg Barnes]

I love that piece! I'd wear it as a ring!
