I was checking out a tot lot, when I get this awesome hard signal at 1 1/2 inches. So I start digging, at 4 inches I still haven't found anything, I'm thinking "oh great a pop can" but I keep digging in hopes of something better. All of a sudden I hit something hard, real hard :-\ it was laying flat, i had to dig the hole just a bit bigger and as you can see in the picture, I think it's pretty obvious what it was.
I put it in my pouch and call it a day. On the way home I started thinking, Who would bury a weight in a park?, and then I thought, What if it was used in a crime?,
Well, too late now I already moved it, anyway hope you enjoyed looking.

Soak it in olive oil for a few days... LOL...

Maybe left over from some type of awning setup from a carnival ?. I';ve seen all sorts of weights used to weigh down the awnings, usually a concrete filled coffee can, but have seen a few weight from time to time.

I wonder if I should use electrolysis, to see if I'm missing anything . LOL

Well alrighty, D! :D

time for some shut eye

I'm going with ballast on that one. People use weights instead of driving spikes sometimes to hold tents and awnings down. Still a cool find, you just never know, do ya? That's what makes this hobby so fun.
