Some kind of pewter or similar metal advertising plate that was cut into the shape and size of a large coin, maybe? Counterweight for a coin scale? Counterfeit coin for a colonial vending machine? Very interesting, none the less! Sub 8-)

It was much larger & cut down, no idea what it was though other than an old machine name plate (maybe)

I appreciate the feedback, and the humor. I agree it looks like it was cut out of something larger. I guess my two questions are:

Cut out of what?
Then used for what?

Machine name plate, and a counterweight (something that previously crossed my mind) seem to be good guesses.
