I don't care where it's from --- it's silver!!

Got back to the Hops field for a few hours today. Found a nice 1961 silver 1/4 Balboa from Panama, (What's that doing in Vermont?) a 1908 V nickel, a musket ball, mini ball and old bullet along with an old pocket knife and part of a brass latch. Thanks for looking...Lance

Very cool! Too bad the old V Nickels weren't made out of silver like the rest of the coins were! Indian head cents too!

Wouldn't that just be the perfect final touches to metal detecting coins! ? 8)

Panama's currency is the U.S. dollar, the coins used are called balboas.
Until recently you could travel to Panama by showing a driver's license.
The Panama canal was built during Theodore Roosevelt's administration
by the U.S. corps of engineers.
Today many Americans retire in Panama.

Very nice!!! Can't say I would care where it's from either. Just as long as it made it to where I found it. WTG!!! HH
