I Dug 181 Coins Out of a Baseball Field....I'm Exhausted!

I discovered this older baseball field on google maps and decided to give it a try. I noticed after my first dug coin that this field is composed of a light sandy loam soil that was very easy to dig in. I could dig down 6 inches in about 5 seconds. The coins were everywhere! I spent the next 7 hours without a break digging coin after coin. My total was 181 coins of which 50 were quarters! Two silver dimes form the 1940's & 50's would make a good day great! Adding up all the coins the total came to almost $21.00! After all that bending down I'm really exhausted!

It's great to get one coin after another.....until tired...HA....then, it is oh gee....another one....and can't just leave it.....then another one etc..... I know what you mean. I did not get NEARLY as many as you did but felt that way in a ball field with newer coins. Congrats on your endurance!

That's a work out for sure, the sandy soils make for an easy recovery. Still that amount of bending and squats over the day takes its toll. Congrats on the silvers and the totals

Congrats on the silver and just the number of finds! Bet you thought that either your detector was busted or the place was full of trash and stuff as it probably didn't shut up for long. I'm tired for you just thinking of the bending of my knees but you've got more than just trash to show for it!
