I found a way to buy at spot !!

Ok I have found if you go to your coin shop and buy there very worn walkers or what ever. They will sell them at spot. Because there very warn when you put them in a coin tube of 20 the tube is short about 3 coins. But most places that buy coins don't care that there warn and will give you full price plus in some cases for walkers. So pick up some and when silver goes up a few bucks sell them and make a few bucks. I picked up 400 with some nice ones for 20% over spot just to keep.

Also, what is considered "full price plus" from the buyer?
I think some price examples would help with the explanation.

What am saying is you can buy warn ones at spot. Then sell them and get the full price at face. most places don't care that there warn!! Plus there walkers and barbers so some times you can a little more.

This is really a great idea, i wish my LCS sold coins for spot out of their junk silver bin... apparently it's their "policy" to ship them out to the smelter...what a shame..

You can buy them at a spot because when you go to sell those slicks you will not get spot unless you're working with a *******.

My LCS lets anybody that wants too, dig through all the coins they send to the smelter and buy them for the same price as the rest of their 90% coins. Right now thats 25x face. I've asked about getting deals on the slicks and the damaged coins and they said no.

I can get spot all day warn or not. For walkers and barbers! So I will just wait till spot goes up 4 or 5 dollars and make some free money. I sold barbers for $14 and walkers for $13.50 when silver spot about $31 $32?? And tubes of 1964 for $14 per coin they were like new. When I got them I paid under spot. I paid $10 each for the 1964 coins. I just put the money back into more silver. Am going to split a monster box with my son in laws brother next week. This monster is over a $1000 less then the last one I picked up!!

That seems pretty high. Even when silver was $30 the LCS here was charging 22X face. They are now down to 18-19X.

No. My dealer is charging way over spot to customers who walk in the door. You can dig through his good coins and pick what you want for 25x face. He has a tub with the slicks and damaged coins that regular customers probably won't buy and that is what he sends to the smelter. If a customer wants to dig through that tub, they still hafta pay 25x face. I would love to be around Tims LCS. That sounds like a good deal!!

At My local Coin Store on Wed of this week ,May,22 they were selling Merc dimes in g-vg mostly, and some in fine [common dates] for 2$ per coin halves Kennedy's mostly [1964] for 10 $ apiece . These prices are good enough for me but at this time I don't know anyone or anywhere to sell for the same or more than I paid ,even if spot were 25-27$.

I wish if anyone that has a problem with my spelling and use of words would just not read my posts. Because I don't care that much. I do care about what counts and its not spelling. My spelling will ALLWAYS be off a bit. What matters am getting another monster box to split with a friend this week!! Am going to be a little closer to my 10.000 oz goal.

My LCS does well by me.. ASE's at 10% over in small numbers, 5% over if I buy 20 or more, will sell me monster boxes (he's offered, at least) for 1% over his premium... Junk at spot plus 2%, slicks weighed and sold based on grams. The trick is to not come off like a big customer for the dealer, but as a businessman interested in working with him to develop a mutually beneficial relationship. Give and take, if you will.

Who knows, maybe I'll drop into the business myself someday...

Its funny my coin guy is a good friend of mine now when I go see him I slap $20 to $30.000 on his counter and he slaps $100.000 down he"s so cool there two black guys.They call me mr Rolex He wants be to sell him some of mine. They get me deals all the time. I just picked up a bottle of( Johnny Walker Blue) for $75.
