I got a cool ring it spins

Met up with my brother in Corpus and we went to Rockport beach. Second time out with the excal. The guts were filled in with sand so finds were few but I did manage a handful of change and a nice silver ring that spins. Found a handful of clad too. Lets recap first time out with excal I got a costume necklace, now silver....so I am hoping gold is next. I gotta say being in the water is so much nicer than land hunting right now in this heat.

Next weekend maybe a good time to find gold. there's a T.S. getting ready to come across the yucatan penninsula and be in the gulf early this week. It could become a cat.1 hurricane before in hits landfall. There expecting it to come in around brownsville. weather or not it becomes a hurricane it should kick up alot of buried stuff. I planned a trip down there around labor day but might have to go sooner. HH willia

roadquest I have been there mud, bugs, ticks you left out the snakes and wild hogs though.
I would love to be relic hunting right now too but its too dang hot in a couple areas to hunt, and too many snakes in the other area we hunt.
But I hope you fins some great stuff, just keep that tick spray on.

Nice find on the silver ring . I smell gold in your near future Up here in MAssachusetts we are in the middle on a heat wave with high humidity so it is nice to hit the beaches after the crowds leave and get some cool. Haven't found any rings on this one beach but I am sure picking up plenty of clad. It pays for the batteries and some gas money along with a cup of coffee. Anyway, great find and keep posting.

yeah when I hit the beaches after water hunting I make it a point to hit the sand for a while and pick up as much clad as I can. I don't mind hunting clad at all, because I throw it all in a jar and then later I will cash it in for something that pertains to this hobby, be it a pinpointer, digger, batteries, or anything else. Right now I am saving all my clad so I can plan a detecting trip next year.

This was my first spinner, and I was thrilled when I found it, I didn't expect it to turn out to be silver I thought it was bronze and I was a happy camper then, even more so now. A friend at work here has a gold wedding band that is a spinner, that would be cool to find next but I'm not greedy or picky anything gold will do.
