welcome to the cremation club! yep never thought about finding one, and not something I ever want to find again.

I know that feeling too when you look down in the scoop and there's one of those. I found 2 last year, if I remember right on the same day.

It does give you that creepy feeling doesn't it? I know it shouldn't but.....

Hope your next finds are GOLD....

**sigh** I haven't found one of those yet and I am not anxious to either. YUK!

They seem to turn up when you least expect it.... :-\

One of them I found had Florida abbreviated in the old way FLA.

Believe me I would prefer to even find junk rings then one of these....maybe there is someone out there that collects them, but not me....Yuck is right....

a real one of a kind find -- thats for sure --since each one means some "body" / yep back it goes if I find one --as far as I can chuck it.-- I do not collect "death tags"

Dana Point area offers Burial at Sea services aboard some of their charters. Doheny State Beach area may also offer these types of finds. Just a thought. I would throw it back....
Happy Hunting.

Yep .. this weekend's low tides ...I'll give a small prayer and fling that tag a few hundred feet into the ocean.

Thanks all for your replies, and HH Joe

I only went so far as to research the "Peek Family Crematory" on Google but never considered returning the tag (except back to the ocean).

I am of the opinion that the family would most probably be distressed getting a return like this. ???

(I just DON'T want to find it again!) :o
