Maybe not the best place for a beginner to start as metal detectors can be confusing if you plan on getting one. Treasure hunting or just seeing what is there is fun. The hobby itself is self policed so some folks are quick to point certain things out. You buy now are in your research phase which is very important but not always needed for success. As folks are always loosing things out of their pockets, you too wont be too new for long. Happy hunting.
