Thanks buddy. Confederate yes Yankee no. I dug a lot of holes today. I didn't take pictures of the trash I dug.

Nice day of digging! Any idea what Regt was there?

Thanks buddy. Well it's ANV 3rd Corps. The area is a hospital & waggon park for that corps. I've been hunting this area for 25 years. I just picked this permission up a few weeks ago. It's Gettysburg campaign. We have found stuff from Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. My guess is Harry Heaths division.

Great day indeed, nice finds 👍

Maybe I missed it, but is the Nc a sunburst or something else?

[The Rebel]

That's cool! I was a cw reenactor for 12 years before kids, lol.

Our unit was the 12th Regt G.V.l, Co F, Doles-Cook Brig, Rhodes Div, 2nd Corp, ANV.

Did a few reenactments in Gettysburg and visited our Brig Marker to see where we had fought. Was blessed to see the remnants of our Regts battle flag at the museum of the Confederacy in Va.

Thats pretty cool buddy. Ewell was in Carlisle just before Gettysburg. I have hunted a couple camps from the occupation.

Sorry. Only button I can see/id has a palmetto tree….which I assume is sc (although Nc does has a button with a palmetto). Can’t see anything else remotely identifiable in these pics……unless I’m oblivious.

The north Carolina button is like this one.

The north Carolina button is like this one.

Ok. I recognize that front. Can’t read the writing over the top….does it say North Carolina, or something else?

Good job, only reason I ask, there’s another with the same front…..different words, that is a bit rarer

You had a busy day. That is a lot of lead to carry around.

I don't like you anymore! Here I sit with all my sites off limits until mid January because of deer season, and there you are tearing it up!
