That's too strange ! We have a printer right beside our computer screen, and it is always off, unless we are printing something. It has a very bright blue light in the power button that goes out when you turn it off.

I just about fell over when I read this post. Danglangley and I have our computer and printer set up in our bedroom and we have had similar experiences with our printer but the latest one was just last week. We always keep our printer turned off unless we plan to print something. When the power is on, the printer has a very bright blue light on top that will illuminate the whole room. As usual the printer was completely off, as was the computer and we went to bed. I was not sleeping well that night and was awake off and on...so I heard the printer make the sound you described but then the light suddenly came on too, that has never happened. I do have two very large Savannah cats that sleep in the room with us, so I sat up thinking one of them must be up walking around and had stepped on the power button which is on the top of the printer, but both cats were laying perfectly still at the foot of the bed. I woke Danglangley up and his response was..."hmmmm followed by snores of contentment." I got up and turned the printer back off, but sleep did not really find me the rest of the night. I have no idea how it happened, but I sure hope it doesn't happen again because I hate to put Danglangley and his computer and printer in the basement...LOL.

A lot of printers have a default setting that will clean the printer heads at a specific time. You can or should be able to change the default settings so you will know when it will occur. My printer would do this when I first got it, scared the living dayl;ights out of me. The FAX would even ring on it's own. I never had a phone line hooked into the fax and couldnt figure out what was going on for the longest time. I somehow got into the settings and found a way to turn off the fax and changed the times the print heads would start cleaning. Since then, the fax no longer rings and the print heads clean themselves during the day ..... at the time I set for it to do so

Nothing paranormal, just the printer doing what it is supposed to do for maintenance

Nana, you started a very good blog here. What happens when things disappear and reappear is called an apport. Not sure if that is one or two p's. Apports can also be discribed when you bring something from the past into current time. I have always been able to feel the presence of something else, if a spirit is around. One day I was at my friend Connie's house and saw she had ghost books, I asked her if she thought the place was haunted. I knew the answer already, but she said yes. I told her I could probably tell her what room it was in. She agreed to allow it. I took her in the spare rec room area on the second floor and told her this was it. She was shocked, I was right. I felt issues around the window and the closet was the worst. I said, let's open it. She agreed, I tapped on the three walls and the ceiling. It was cold an cobwebby. I said as I knocked, "Whatever you are, show yourself." I moved my hands through the clothing, probably 15 garments. Grabbed one that didn't feel right. Pulled it out and said, "this have a meaning to you?" She freaked. Never saw the thing before in her life. She made me take it down to her husband and she said to him, "Look what she got out of my closet." He said I must have brought it with me and denied ever seeing anything like that there, the whole time they lived there. I came with them to the house in their car, I didn't bring it with me, but I had to take it home, they wouldn't let me leave it there. It freaks me out and it stays outside in my car that doesn't work. I could probably make a good buck on E-Bay with it. Connie said she had cleaned the closet out a few weeks prior and knew what was in there and that was not hers, could never fit in it anyway. I can hardly fit it. ]A very small statured person could. Looks like a flowered prairie dress with kleated skirt section and lace around the front of the collar. Very strange, not to mention the photograph images of people near me when I tried to put it on. Never again.

I am known to my family to be "gifted" in the spirit sense -- so when my cousin (who is also my best freind) had his sister die -- he was very broken hearted as they were quite close -- a short while after her passing -- he got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom as is his normal habit , as he walked along he wondered --I hope shes ok and in heaven --he thought this as he went by his computer -- it suddenly just "popped" on with a large picture of his dead sister that was normally stored deep in the computer on the screen -- this occured several nights in a row until he finally called me in the dead of night one night and asked its meaning --- I explained it was her way of letting him know she was ok and not to worry about her --- after that it stopped happening.

Went to a friends house of my wife's boss to have dinner. When done, helped with disshes, and emptied trash can for his wife. ( Before I go any farther, they say their house is haunted. Lived their 15 years.). I put the trash can beside the counter, six or seven feet away from porch door, and put dishes in the pantry and closed the doors myself and went back in living room to talk. About 5 min. later their dog ran to the kitchen growling for about 30 seconds. Again in about 2 or 3 min, did it again, Bob and I went to see whats going on. Trash can was moved to porch door and all the pantry doors were open. Two doors closed and dog went back in room. Still shake a little thinking about it. Wife hates it and Bob thinks it;s cool.

Well, thought id add a recent one....the one that happened long ago is a little too odd.

Recently i was doing dishs, placed them all properly in the rack to dry. Shortly after i threw some food in the oven for a snack. Somehow i forgot all about it, i think i was browsing the web and i hear the sound of something falling over in the kitchen. I go in to check it out and one of the wine glasses sitting on the counter had fallen on its side. The mere shape of the wine glass would have easily prevented it from randomly falling over. My daughter was asleep in her crib and i was nowhere near it. I felt nothing, and to my amazement the glass didnt break. All the other glasses, just tapping them against the faucet lightly would shatter them.

Needless to say my food was burnt, but thankfully that was all. We have all felt some eery things since we moved in but that experienced threw it over the top.

several months ago, I had my gold Masonic ring on the mantel . it went missing and has not returned. several years before it went missing and almost two years later it returned. another time , my heaing aids went away, several weeks later they reappeared on the stair landing , where we walk everyday. Could I say, OK guys,Please return the ring,pretty please. Bob

Wow! I had completely forgotten about this post...till last night. I really enjoyed reading about all of your experiences!
Just let me tell ya what happened last evening.
I had gone on a hunting trip to North Carolina this past spring for several days. Had a great time meeting up with my friends for hunting and socializing. After we (Charlie and I) get back home from our trip, I'm unpacking the luggage for laundry and notice my most favorite nightgown is missing. $:-\$ I looked everywhere for it..in every little compartment, but couldn't find it anywhere. I finally decided that it must have got left in the hotel room and that it was just gone. :'(

Wellll...let me tell ya....last night, after my bath, I go to the dresser to fetch a gown. Open the dresser drawer and right there was my favorite long lost gown! :icon_scratch:
