Well it was a nice day out in Iowa for once so I decided to head north to my dads house and try my luck. Since my wife had to work and doesn't like the hobby I took the kids to help dig. Got there about 1130am and started to walk the garden that he just tilting about a week ago. He found some marbles and penny last week to while out there. About 1 or 2 hrs out in the 85 degree weather the boys started to get hot so they went into the house to cool off. I stayed of course but no luck but as we walked my dad looks down and 3 clay marbles and a button (WOW) all in the same area plus I think is part of a belt
. So we grabed them and keeped on looking for more. Later we dicided to go to the park but the ground was like concrete so we skipped it for now. Then we headed off to a area that my dad said he lost some change a couple of yrs ago. Well just to say I found them and 53 cents all together. Also to boot he let me take a pic of the indian heads and wheat pennys that he has found over the yrs without a metal detector. Got pic of the house and garden which was built in 1869, my dad to and the finds.
PS the marble are lost again my youngest threw them some where in the yard.
