- White's M-6
I've had my White's M-6 for 12 days today. I've been finding the usual pennies, trash, and some clad. My very 1st night I got the detector, I found my 1st silver, a beautiful 1927 Mercury head dime. This hobby is like crack, if I don't get to swing my detector, for at least a little while daily, it's hard on me.
Today is my day off, so I went over and hit the old armory in town, found 2 pennies, 1 Canadian, a shell casing, and the usual trash. I then headed over to the fairgrounds where I found my Mercury Head, and right off the bat found my 1st Half, a bicentennial Kennedy that was reading a steady 50 cents. I found a dime and a couple of more pennies, then I came home, ate some lunch, and since the wife was having the Avon lady over, I figured I'd rather be detecting. So back to the fairgrounds, found 3 pennies, a token, and on my last dig a BARBER Quarter!!! I liked to choked when I saw silver in the hole! It's really worn, but strangely the date, 1907, is clearly legible. This one area of the fairgrounds has produced 2 mercury heads, one for me and one for a buddy, and this Barber half, so it's clearly still got potential.
Man is this hobby fun, I love looking at everyone's finds everyday, and even tho I may not post everyday, I love reading the forum. Keep swinging friends! Take care...
