I Need help dating this Buckle

I find these at sites dating from early 1800s to early 1900's. pre 1930s at the latest

IMHO: Looks like an 1850's +/- 20 years.

I agree with both. They are still being made, however, of a different material. Mainly plated junk on the new stuff. Yours is much older.
