Hi all, got out to a local park for a couple of hours today. I was determined to find a ring so I dug every pull tab signal I hit. After my pocket was full of pull tabs I turned over my plug and there it was, encased in sticky wet dirt. I rubbed the edge and saw gold and a twist pattern. I was excited thinking I finally found my first gold ring! When I got home I threw it in the jewelry cleaner for a bit and this is what came out. It is like gold plated pot metal, I think. But it's the thrill of the hunt and I'll find a ring one day. I did manage to pull like $2.50 in clad and remove some sharp metal from the kids play area's. Also managed to inspire a future hunter. Let a curious kid dig his first coin, which was kind of cool. His grandma was happy, she said she knows what to get him for Xmas now. Here are pictures of my beautiful find if anyone wants to trade let me know.

Awesome deed done for the kids play area and letting a curious one do some md!

You will find a real one...they are there. Good amount of clad and a good deed besides. I'd say this was one awesome hunt!

Hey keith, You sound like a good hearted person and a honorable member of this hobby. Would be nice to know where your from, just the state would be fine if nothing else. I just recently dug a gold ring which was flashing between a nickle and foil. So don't give up. Your time will come:icon_thumright:
