I was able to get out on Saturday

I was able to get out for a couple of hours on Saturday afternoon and it paid off for me & my DFX. The first coin I found was a 1897 Indianhead penny down about 7 inches. The next was a 1923 Wheatie found about 4 inches. The other 2 were clad.

For such a small area that is awesome that you were able to find a wheat penny and an indian head cent! Keep on hunting!

These Indian Head coins, seriously were they used by the indians in America, are they quiet scarse and what is their value in dollars. Do you get different metal types with them, for example, silver, gold, bronze, nickle etc.

From what years did they come out and when were they discontinued?
