I go about every day to tell you the truth. Bought this weighted sterling silver for 15 bucks even, because they ask if I'd like to round up my purchase to the next dollar to help people in need. Sure, I said. It's a 11-1/4" tall. I believe my best option to turn a buck out of it is to destroy it for scape. They just don't sell consistently at a good price online. Consigning it to the local antique shop won't be that good either. They have a lot of weighted sterling they're asking to much for already. Ain't no takers in this stuff these days and the scrap buyer will buy it whole, but not for much. He wants nothing but clean scape. There is one option I came by on ebay and that's the inserts go for a good amount of money by themselves. But that's ebay and I'm done selling this kind of stuff on there.

Donate it to a county museum. Deduct actual value from taxes. I’ve never done it, but hear of folks doing such. Check with tax pro first to be sure it’s legit.

I'd rather collect the cash and donate other stuff back to the thrift stores. It takes a lot of donations to put any kind of dent in tax deductions.

That's a nice find for $15! Scrap value has to be $200-$300 if you have 10-15 oz. of sterling. I'm just guestimating. Scrap it.
It's a hard to say on this one. It comes apart, so I might just leave it as is stowed away in a smaller box for a while. I'm thinking it'll be a total of not much over 100 grams sterling. That be around 60 bucks.

I over estimated the weight, but it's still real value. I rarely see much at the stores, but continue looking. You da man.

It’s too bad there isn’t a better way to hook up a seller with interested buyers. Someone would love to buy that piece. But how do you find them? YEARS ago eBay was good for that, but now.., I won’t even visit the site. Way too much Trickery, IMO. Good luck. I’m setting on items that have value as well. Not looking to get rich, but I won’t pay $50-$100 for a flea market table either. There has to be a better way.
