It would be nice to see a few of his offspring,just have to wait and see.

Sometimes, seeing the offspring tells you about the parents' genotype. Coat color of squirrels is fairly similar to eye color in humans. For example, my wife and I both have brown eyes, but our daughter has blue eyes. Her blue eyes indicate that our brown eyes are the result of a dominant brown gene - but we each now know that we have a recessive blue. So now we know that we had a 25% chance of having a blue eyed child.
