Thank you, Tnmountains. They sure seemed happy to get it back. May have been a lot of effort to return something as mundane as a dog tag, but the efforts were rewarded with their nice replies.

Very thoughtful of you makes you wonder why the tag was so far away from where its residence was.let us know if you hear back

Some times dogs are not dogs. Some times dogs are like our children, I have taken some of my dogs over a thousand miles away while riding our horses. Most states want a proof of rabies vaccination and the tag is kind of proof. The tags do fall off. This could be a reason
