I just got these cleaned up-- move this thread if you see necessary.



Well the slave tag kind of trumped all my finds but here are a few really cool relics that should not be overlooked.

I dig big iron on purpose in these sites and am often rewarded with some great finds

I particularly like the Belt ax. (2 pics one to show size) Found in a Rev war camp site with the lock.

the Key is fantastic. Key was found in the slave cabin area. Kinda crazy!!

The 2nd belt/bag ax was found in the slave cabin area as well. I cooked all these in my electrolysis tank for a couple days and they cleaned up well.

Also have 1/2 of a 6 pound cannon ball that is cooking now.

Need to do a little more work on some of the items that will go into the display case. They will get some more cleaning and probably a matte clear coat. Kinda like the non painted look so clear coat is probably my main choice.
