Got up with the knowledge that rain could be part of my day so headed off to one of the larger cities 40+ miles away. Had forgot to tell SS I was heading his way to drop off something and ended up about 25 or thirty miles away hoping for a call. First school I hit was one of the school I hunted a couple weeks ago where I left coins because of the heat...and started right back where I'd left off...digging pennies, school is back so had more pennies to pick up. Using my Ace 250 I was going to dig everything and think I did. Next school was the other I had left coins and started on the pennies again, multiple coins in holes and found my first of two Sacajawea dollars for the day. After leaving the second school checked my map and hit a third tot lot. This place had very few coins but every piece of junk jewelry came from here, so on to school #4 and loaded with pennies, #5 found a second Sacajawea and alot of pennies. The last school was loaded and every hit had multiple coins(mostly pennies) but didn't finish half before I decided to go. All these schools were in a bad part of town and one of the bullets was thrown right at me from a few youths. One of me, ten or so of them talking about making this cracker leave, so convinced a few memorial cents wasn't worth it I headed off to #7, but a call from my g/f and to be honest all that bending over had taken its toll and headed home. take for the day:

2 Sacajawea Dollars
15 quarters
50 dimes
35 nickels
191 memorial cents
293 total coins $14.41

All coins found using the Ace 250!

** These coins were found on Saturday 25 Aug**

I, however, thought that I was the penny king.
I now relinquish my throne. LOL

THAT is a throne you can have back!!! My back still aches from all that bending over!! Makes the coin count look good, but you need some heat on your back when done!! ;D

Hey wait a minute I dig 57% pennies...do I get the crown... ;D ;) :D

It don't matter if it is a Minelab, White's, or Tesora, we all sing this lovely song to our machine:

:o Great haul for just a day at the schools. Sorry to hear about the run in with some Crude Kids, and they wonder why nobody likes 'em.........
Glad you had a good day anyway! HH

Maybe you would like KirkPA to be your sidekick at times? I could scare them off! :D

I appriciate the offer but I'll survive, plan to go back in a couple weeks and dig some more. I guess they just didn't like the Ace 250!!

U-RAH JACK,

Hey Jack I hope you take a buddy if you go back to those schools, just to be safe or two or three. No finds are worth your safety.

I'll probably go by myself, just have to go a little earlier there. I usually hit these places because I'm not smart enough not to go. Lots of coins, many pennies but hopefully a bit of gold might show up!!

They threw a bullet at me, must not have had the gun. I think they wanted me to make a comment. I'm on their turf, and they set the rules. I just finished what I was doing and detected back to the truck. don't mind being the under dog, but 10 on 1 I know who is going to lose! ;D

Wow Jack, you did some digging today. I bet your back is aching. The Ace is a mighty good little machine, your finds are proof.

;) RR

Hey Jack, that is one large batch of coins for a one day hunt. Congrats. I understand how you felt with those tough guys (tough guys - only tough when they outnumber you). I've been in the same situation a couple times...I just try to stay out of their way and if they look too menacing I fade towards my car and get out. Wish I could go with ya, we could watch each others back. There have been times I wish I had a hunting partner up here. Be safe my friend, we don't want to lose ya.

Man, that's a nice haul for a day. I'll bet you feel it tonight. I used to dig all the pennies, then I only dug the copper ones, now I'm back to digging all again. Way to go on a great day!

Woa Jack, thats a lot of diggin!
Great pile of coin, pennies or not, its a lot!

Keep safe...

good day of finds jack, bobbie and I detect a lot of areas that aren't always in the best neighborhoods, but if more than one person shows up we just bow out, thats what they make winter and rainy days for. Or at least a conceal and carry permit :D
good to see the ace 250 is still rolling on
