"I'm a coin collector"..... (Updated 6/5 with pic!!)

Hey Hey,

I was dumping my latest two boxes last Thursday when a woman asked what I was doing with all of those coins. I explained:

"I'm a coin collector."

She told me she had a bunch of old coins at home that she has no use for. I asked if she would be interested in selling them. She said "yes". I gave her my cell number and asked her to call me.

Now this is the third time someone said they had "old coins". Neither person called me back.

I turned my cell phone on after work this evening and I had a new voicemail. It was the woman from the bank and she said she found the coins and wanted to know if I would like to stop over tomorrow. I called her back and we're going to try to meet up tomorrow after work.

I'll let you know if I buy them.

good luck, and a little advise, try not to underbid on her coins too much, I think 15x face seems alright, my personal opinion of course.

I went to dump some pennies this mornin' and the teller asked me if I was interested in some silver coins. I ended up buying five dimes, a quarter, a '64 half and a '67 half. This is the second time we have done this. Her son repairs vending machines and has some silver to sell as well. I pay 80% of melt.

I know a teller that's looking to sell and/or consign over $100 face in 90% silver to me. Talking to her again this Friday, hopefully this works out well, I could use the extra cash.

The woman's Mom used to work at a bank. I'm pretty happy with my purchase. I plan on keeping the silver and eBay'ing the rest.
