im going to NC to gem hunt,need advice

im going here http://www.hiddenitegems.com/index.html in may.its my first time gem hunting.
what equipment should i take?how much should i expect to send just at the mine for 3 days?
with this being for first time,really any advice will be helpful.

Went there last year but was called home after two days. Spent the best part of the first standing in a stream (knee deep in some places) with a small garden shovel and screen. They rent them there and I think it was about $25.00 for the day. This is just a guess but it was around there. I seen some people bring a larger shovel even though there not allowed. They have buckets of dirt ranging from $5.00 to $100.00 that is salted. Since I had to come home I bought there buckets instead of digging my own. Got there largest one and it was loaded with different type minerals of all different colors still turning them in my rock tumbler. Have enough Tigers Eye to make all kinds of stuff. I enjoyed myself and even if a budget is tight you can enjoy yourself by just doing it. Plan to either go to Georgia for gold or ark. for diamonds this year. Good luck and hope this helps a little.
