Wow! Beautiful items!
You all in the New England States really pull some history out of the ground. That is awesome in bringing these items back to the light of day!

That's very strange you'd find that coin at that site as almost all of your finds are turn of the century with the exception of those 2 late 1700s buttons. But I'm sure you're not complaining. Congrats on your first 1600s!

Very nice set of finds. I am partial to that Barber quarter, but shiny things always do me that way! GL.

Thanks Bill. To clarify, as my post stated these are a sampling of my recent finds. These are things I have found in recent weeks at multiple sites I hunt. I tend to save up the finds for a post so I have more to show....I would never claim to find that many keepers in one hunt. Many of these sites I hit have a wide range of finds....for example the field that produced the 1693 W&M this weekend also produced a Walker half earlier this year. Absolutely not complaining...you got that right.

It's definitely funny how sometimes the rare finds show up before the common ones. I STILL only have one cut silver coin, and its a Massachusetts Silver. Cut Spanish silvers are so much more common than Mass silvers, but I can't seem to dig one. That W&M is a great copper. It's nice that yours still has decent detail left on it too. Most of my William III coppers are nearly blank.

Congratz on an awesome hunt, some awesome coins and joining the 1600s club!!!

Awesome hunt. I found a nice Hudson 6 lever lock. They r pretty nice and collectable

Congrats on all those nice finds, but especially the 17th century coin. I am sure you will return to that site for as many years as you are allowed. It's hard to give up on a site that produces your best or oldest finds!

Awesome spot you have there. Love the W&M copper. Let me just tell you that I have found 2 1600s silvers before I have found a barber dime, a Walker and I can go on and on. For some reason I've found some great indian heads at colonial sites but my more modern (civil war and on) coins count is pathetic. I've found more Spanish silver than all other silvers combined. Not complaining but you would think more randomly dropped coins would pop out. I truly hope you pull a nice early silver from that site. I'll be watching for your post. That W&M has pretty darn nice detail btw

Now that's a neat copper to find! I always liked the dual portrait on the obverse side.
Still on my wish list.:crybaby2:

WTG on the W&M. It's sure awesome to be able to get back that far. Welcome to the 1600's Club!

Nice work, great finds, I still have not found a 1600 's coin I can ID

Congratulations! Same year as mine too!

I'm into the 1600's !!!!!!

The illusive SLQ!! I'm up to three coins in the 1600's and still no damn SLQ!! Congrats!
