Visiting my brother in Placerville. Didn’t bring my 800, but a friend of his has one and lent it to me. Have not used the gold program, so I’m looking for any tips from anyone that’s used the program for gold. Can’t think of a better place to try her out! Thanks for any tips!

I swung my Nox over a small nugget Saturday. Air testing. Park 1 and prospect 2 both read it the same with a VID of 5. I’ve heard using small lead sinkers is a good way to practice with the prospect mode. I will follow this thread as I’m interested also. Good luck with your prospecting!

I've got a small gold nugget in my test garden that rings up as VDI 9 on the Equinox, in both P1 and G1. I originally found the nugget with a Tesoro Lobo several years ago. You'll need to understand the tracking ground balance function when hunting in highly mineralized areas.
