It's true. It's been the archie excuse for not recovering items for a long time.

If you remove the word "in situ" from almost any article written by an Archaeologist and replace it with "for job security" you will quickly understand the selfishness of government or institutional Archaeologists.

The blame should go to the universities that allow these so called professors that teach this poison to the young students that need something to believe in.
