My friend Tim, using a DFX with an 8" X14" DD Deep Scan coil, found this 1867 Indian Head at a house dating to 1870. First dig of the day, and only an inch in the ground. Not to bad of a find!! This is NOT my find!! I did not dig this!! Tim did. Hey Steve(Hoosierfinds), you better get that XLT going!!! Found in Richmond, IN!

*** The title was put there to give Tim a hard time, he's a die hard Whites guy!!***

That's a nice IH--I find so many from the 1880's-1900's that I also love diggin those earlier ones. Nice work on this one--it was minted only a decade too soon!

Jack 1.0 down wow...that is great an easy dig and a great find...tell him congratulations... :)

great indian !!! looks real nice.... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Don't worry that it's a '67 and not a '77. It still may be worth $60 after a little cleaning. I've got one.

Great Indian!

From the picture it looks like an '87 to me. ??

Still a good find for a DFX! ;) ;D :D

Definately 1867, when he cleans it up a little I'll post another pic! I told him he was lucky to have that big coil for that one inch Indian!! He just laughed and asked who had the IH!!

Ha Ha!
I need to get some more sites lined up. Have my wife's family reunion to go to today. Struck out at an old house last Wednesday - only five memorial cents - and it was COLD with the wind blowing.

Really nice find !!!!!!!!!! I love my MXT and I have 4 other whites. I've always had good luck with them but my brother sure is competition with his Minelab SE we're headin to a good spot today and hopefully I'll be finding a nice Indian. . . . enjoy

He had been called give the guy a price on how much it would cost to paint and in talking to the person he found out it was built in 1870, man just said yes when asked. Last old house I hit I didn't even find 5, only three and that was on three visits! Some are good, some not so good!
