Unfinished bannerstone? Very cool artifacts!

Winged Banner preform and a Grooved Ax. Values idk

Nice finds from a value perspective it's all in the eyes of the beholder but eBay can give some reference. The grooved axe is nice but not a fine polished quality. Great pieces for any collection.

Thank you very much for your responses. Is there a way to determine the approximate age ?

As oxbow questioned and rock stated one of your relics is an unfinished notched wing Bannerstone.
It has a raised rounded barrel and a shallow notch on the convex side, indicating that it it probably of a middle to late date winged Bannerstone, of the late middle Archaic period (4500-3500B.C.)
I see full groove axes like yours in a lot of artifacts shows (it's a pretty rough example) priced in the $50-$100 range. As for the unfinished Bannerstone all I can is that personally I'd rather have it in my collection rather than six similar quality axes if it's authenticity was unquestionable.

Thank you for your details. These pieces as well as the entire arrowhead collection were authenticated and seperated in frames by a published arrowhead collector and appraiser . I have his paperwork for the entire collection .

Hes an appraiser?? Soooo... What did he say about them???

He appraised. The collection as a whole before I inherited it. . These two pieces were just part of the larger collecting collection . Not detailed other than what was framed.

Nice inheritance. I'd keep them if I were you.
