Septimius Severus, also known as Severus, was Roman emperor from 193 to 211. Severus was born in Leptis Magna in the Roman province of Africa. Wikipedia
I don't want to put a damper on things but your coin is in exceptionally good condition for something that is about 2000 years old but I'm no expert on Roman coins and I have seen some in similar condition in museums. Most museums in the UK sell replicas so I would be careful. How did you come by it?
It looks like a bronze coin, but that could be the lighting in the picture, or a debased denarius, but I don't see anything wrong with it.
But a bit more information would be nice, like were it was from/purchased......country found... ect.
