Interesting way to "hunt" today

So i was walking around in my house, when i dropped something down into my air vent.... i realized these grates over them just pull up and i discovered a ton of coins in mine... i went to each one gathering all the coins and other misc stuff in there.. really cool. too bad my house is from 1970's or i mightve found something really worthwhile! try it at your house even if you have to unscrew some vents! Got a total of $1.53, a bullet shell, and some random keys lol

I do a lot of remodeling and demo work, and I ALWAYS check the vents...... Great places to find good stuff!

I found a mid 40s penny and a silver dime in my old apartments vent! I was hoping to be able to tear into my grandparents old place as it dated to roughly 1800, but my dad sold it already. At least the new owner is a friend and I can detect around the area.

The city was tearing out some homes to make way for a new park. When the homes were vacated we got into them and ripped the ducts out and dumped them out. We found many wheat backs and some war nickles. We also got a ornate silver baby spoon. Kind of a fun day as we did it at about 7 houses. :icon_sunny:
