Is it just me, or

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed on "Today's Finds", that some people reply to their on post a lot. I don't mean this in a bad way but I have noticed one small group of buddies keep replying to each others posts to keep their post up at the top of the page. Some have as many as 60 replies and about half of the replies are theirs or one of their hunting buddies. I don't mean anything bad by this but I am curious if any one else has notice this.

Some folks were brought up to say thank you each time given a nice comment or a compliment, yet others do what you posted above just to keep it on top, Me being the ole lady that I am, was brought up to say thank each time to each person other wise it was considered that I was being rude to one individual. Some old habits are hard to break. But then each forum also has a click, NO PUN intended to anyone on that one.. just that there may be a group of hunters that like to bust each others chops in a funny way, that doesnt bother me, its rather funny when they dicker back n forth.. infact, I was gonna ask someone repost that dare that Modern Miner did and won.. That my friends is tnets bestest.. and will definitely make you chuckle. Sorry MM, but that one was worth it and you were such a great sport ( or lady ) about it.. lol see, now I have em curious... OHHH NICK, help me out here.

Look at it this way, what does it matter as long as everyone has a good time on T.N.. Some posters have sharp tongues, but most are very nice people and it is great to talk to them about treasure hunting. Remember birds of a feather flock together. Many hunters have found a hunting buddie on this site and that is a good thing. We all make it come together to be the site that it is. Variety is the spice of life, enjoy it while you can. And yes, you are right , many do talk back and forth until they feel safe enough to exchange phone numbers.

I purposefully try not to reply to anything on my posts. I'll PM instead. It's my way of giving the new posts the visiblity they deserve, and avoiding artifical exposure to mine. Otherwise, I notice, but do not care. I'd say off topic conversation or the hijacking of a post is what I do not like to see.

I know in my past posts...people have commented as well as asked a question or two...i believe it is just common courtesy to try and reply,and or answer any questions,inquiries that everyone else besides the poster may have.Not sure if it's intentionally done to boost ones post numbers.
